News and Information for students enrolled in 21-260 Differential Equations at Carnegie Mellon University during the Spring 2007 Semester.
How many problems will be on the final?
I'm guessing no calculators are allowed. Correct?
are we expected to know that cos(n*pi) is (-1)^n and such or can we leave everything in terms of sines and cosines, not converting for cases that n is odd or even
(1) 10 problems.(2) Calculators are not allowed. Correct!(3) You should know that cos(nπ)=(-1)^n, but you do not need to reindex your sums to eliminate terms that are zero.
